Kirk Island
is Croatia’s largest and northernmost island, known for its diversity in terms of vegetation and terrain. Furthermore, it is accessible via a 1.6-kilometer bridge, ensuring ease of entry and exit. The island spans an area of 406 square kilometers and stands out as one of the few with an international airport, serving its 20,000 residents within the Kvarner region of northern Croatia
Rab Island
covers an of a 90.48 square kilometers.It is one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic and arguably one of the most magical. It is covered in pine forests and has beautiful sandy beaches.
Ceres Island
situated in the Gulf of Kvarner in the northern Adriatic Sea, resides between the southern island of Lošinj and the northern islands of Krk and the Istrian peninsula. The island spans an area of 405.78 square kilometers, with a length of 66 kilometers and a variable width ranging between 2 and 12 kilometers. Originally, Cres and the neighboring Lošinj were a unified landmass, now divided by a strait merely 11 meters wide, connected by a bridge linking their shores.

ITINERARY
Journey to the destination
Our journey to Istria begins with a morning direct flight to Zagreb normally, the capital of Croatia. From there, we will take a scenic three-hour drive to the heart of Istria, the region where we will spend the week cycling.
Arrangements
Upon arrival at our hotel on Krk, we will check in and leave our luggage. If we arrive on a late flight, we will go to bed and rest up for the next day. If we arrive earlier, we can go for a short walk to adjust the bicycles or explore the city.

As you pedal along, you’ll encounter agricultural farms and quaint sheepfolds, each contributing to the island’s rustic charm. This island stands out for its vibrant greenery and dense forests, casting a soothing spell on the beholder. For lunch, you can choose between a delightful restaurant meal or a scenic picnic in the heart of nature.

Cycling route
Explore the unique cycling experience on this elongated island. Here, you’ll find the mesmerizing Garden of Lake Varna, situated at a remarkable depth of approximately 50 meters below sea level. According to local folklore, hidden within the basin lies an underwater castle. On windy days, one can even hear the faint chime of the castle bell, adding an enchanting touch to your journey.

Embark on a scenic drive from the park to your exquisite hotel on the picturesque island of Krk. Upon arrival, then savor a delectable dinner to cap off your day.

Immerse yourself in dense forests reminiscent of classical Europe and the echoes of Tito’s partisan tales. Traverse clear lakes and navigate challenging single tracks winding between towering trees and thick vegetation. For lunch, you have the choice of dining at a restaurant or enjoying a serene picnic in the heart of nature.

The route
We will proceed to the airport in Zagreb. Depending on our flight schedule, we may make stops to visit the Plitvice Waterfalls or explore Zagreb, savoring our final moments after an amazing journey.
